Yes, blogging is dead. There is no sense whatsoever of building a blog, probably some of the craziness that you've seen a read somewhere blogging is dead. Hmm. All right, we're gonna break this myth down, of blogging is dead. Blogging isn't dead. That's the That's the craziest thing I've ever heard, not the craziest thing I've ever heard. But one of the craziest things I've ever heard. Blogging isn't dead.
Think of it this way. I'm gonna go through this list. You know, I always have a list that I write down. Think of it this way. People we do what we read. What are you doing now? You're listening audio. And you know, a lot of people are visual learners. And I'm not talking about visual in terms of words, but visual in terms of learning movements, with a mix of words. And some people just, you know, we don't always have to have the words, we still we can still learn visually, just by our eyes, that alone, people are not going to stop reading. People are not going to stop looking for information.
They're just not so black and isn't dead at all. But why do people say blogging is dead? People say that, because mainly because of a few of the reasons that I just gave you video content, it's very easy, it's very easy to go make a YouTube video, you know, just video period, we all have phones. So most of us have phones we have very possibly listening to this right now, with your phone, you can take that phone out, switch it to video mode very easily. And start recording video content, video content is very easy to make is very easy to make.
We all have a camera in our pockets, basically, you know, if you're using a computer, and a lot of computers have cameras on them, you can make a video right there. So it's very easy to make. So that's one of the reasons why people say blogging is dead. Podcast. Podcasting is it's not hard, it's actually pretty easily you all you need is a phone. All you need is a phone, even though I have some sort of a makeshift studio right now, you know, I'm not using a phone, but all you need is a phone.
And maybe let's say let's just say if you had an iPhone, you know, either the earbuds that come with them or the you know, the what are these things, the wired headphones that have the mic on it, you know, you can start a podcast that way, you can record your voice and upload it, you know, to the different podcast directories. So it's very easy to start an audio podcast, very easy. It's not hard at all. How the phone right there. Another thing that requires a phone and why people say blogging is dead.
Also, how easy is it is to post any type of content to social media. It's free. Social media is free. Tiktok is free. Facebook is free. Instagram is free. Snapchat is free. Pinterest is free. YouTube, it's free. Yeah, there's some of those like YouTube, there's YouTube, you know, they have a premium service, pay for that. But for the most part, it's free. And it's easy to upload content on those platforms. So that's a reason why people say that. That's one of the well, a few of the reasons why people say blogging is dead. But we know blogging isn't dead. We know that for fat.
So another reason why people say that is because there's no more obvious Blackhat methods in order, you know, writing content, and you're building links, you know, Link building is, is pretty heavy links are very important. When it comes to ranking, Google isn't making it easy for people to game their system anymore. So there's no more Blackhat methods, you know, you can't, you know, do all these crazy link exchanges, like you, like you could, you know, in the 2000s, and, you know, somewhat in the some of the, the early part of 2000, and 10s.
Also, you can't, can't do that, you know, there's a lot of different methods that people were using to game the system, and you just can't do that anymore. And people don't want to, you know, some people don't want that, you know, they just don't want they don't want to blog, because, you know, it's not, it's not something that's going to happen very fast. And usually, when you game a system of any kind, you know, you want quick results, and you just can't do that anymore.
Another reason is, people don't have the patience, to start, and to be active on a blog, we want fast results, everything is moving at the speed of light, you see all this technology that we have, it's moving at the speed of light, it's fast, everything is fast. Updates are fast, you know, when let's say one of the apps that you that you're maybe the app you're listening to this on, they update it fast, everything is fast.
With that people lack patience, they don't want to, you know, a lot of people don't want to commit to writing 100 articles, they don't want to commit to writing 100 articles before they're ranking on Google for something, you know, they don't want to do that. They don't want to come up with a commitment. I can't even say a plan, but just a commitment to do that.
You know, if you just look in society, as a whole, we love fast, we've been conditioned to do everything fast, we've been conditioned to do everything at the speed of light. And people just don't have the patience to write 100 articles and just, you know, wait to wait for traffic to come to those articles that you know, they want to cut corners, we've been trained to cut corners, you know, a lot of us have been trained to cut corners in order to get results.
People say blogging is dead because of because of that, you know, people lack patience. One last thing that I'm going to say in terms of why people think blogging is dead, people don't know how to blog, they just don't, it's more than just writing, it's way more than just, you know, putting words on paper or pen and pad, or just doing a speech to text type of deal. If you're if you're blogging that way. There's more to it than just that, even though there's easier ways to blog these days.
Most people, they don't know how they don't know things such as h1 tags, h2 tags, you know, they don't know things such as anchor texts, you know, and how to use you know, how to optimize a blog, how to use things such as some thumbnails, not thumbnails, things on the last set thumbnails, but using things such as themes using these different plugins, using menus for the blog, you know, customizing our blood, they don't know how to do all of those things.
And then even if they had a blog, and all they had to do is just right. They don't understand how to reel in an audience. They don't understand how to get your audience to like sharing, comment, you know, the content, you know, all of those different things. People don't know how to blog, and part of that lies with the patience part that I talked about. People lack patience. So this whole idea of blogging is dead is a bunch of you know what a bunch of malarkey as they like to say, it's a bunch of crap. Blogging isn't dead at all, and I don't see it being dead anytime in the future. I just don't. So blogging is not dead.
And of course, keep the discussion going in a private Facebook group at NicheBloggingTips.com/group, also our YouTube channel at NicheBloggingTips.com/YouTube. So when I don't think we have a lot of content on that page right now, but maybe when you're listening to it.
We will we definitely have some comments. ready to come out on that YouTube channel of ours and to upload content consistently weekly NicheBloggingTips.com/YouTube. And if you haven't already, we'd love if you leave a review on iTunes and give us whatever rating you want, you know, we just want to read the comments if you if you all want us to talk about um, if you want me to talk about something else, or what have you, leave it in the review and leave us a rating.
Also in you can leave those questions and whatnot in a private Facebook group, obviously, as well.
