If you are a beginner, listen up to this, listen to these five blogging secrets that we're gonna put out here. Alright, number one, build a brand, not a business, your brand name is important is important when it comes to SEO, search engine optimization. So building a brand of focus, your focus should be building a brand instead of a business. And the reason for that is, Google is not going to, I guess they're not going to play favorites with your business name as much as they will. If you're building a brand, and probably throw a lot of people off.

One of the things I mean by that is always stress when building a blog, make sure that you have social channels with that also, when you also not just social channels, let me let me let me I'm going to hit on myself real quick. Let me go let me take a step back. When you are building your brand, for instance, and you know you have a website, just starting your website out, what you want to do is, or what you should do is as much as possible, include your keyword with your title, I'll give you I'll give you an example.

This is in the niche blogging tips, podcast, and our website is what? Niche blogging tips.com. So what do we talk about, we talk not just about niche blogging, but just blogging as a whole. But we're talking about blogging, and you see the word blogging, in everything that I do, and all of my social channels, the Facebook page, the YouTube channel, all my social channels, Tik Tok, all of that you see it in the just in the business name.

So that's going to be important in terms of helping Google find the audience for your content. So that's important, it's important with SEO is just as important in your overall, everything that you're doing, overall, for your brand, don't focus just on a business name, or what have you. All of that stuff can be important, but build a brand, there's so much that goes into it. There's also an article that that I'm gonna include in the show notes from Neil Patel, it's called why your brand name is the best seo hack you've ever got.

And it's really, really, really, really goes into depth into explaining what I'm talking about. And I'm gonna leave that in the show notes at niche blogging tips.com, forward slash episode 24. So you'll see that in the show notes, another blogging secret that you probably didn't know, you know, we focus a lot on affiliate programs, in terms of, you know, making money with your blog, you know, that was one of the income sources affiliate, the affiliate programs, but here's the thing, every affiliate program will not accept you remember that every affiliate program will not accept you.

So make sure you do your homework on these different affiliate programs, whether it's something like Commission Junction, which is a marketplace that has a lot of the a lot of the different affiliate programs within it, share a sale, and a few others also just do your research on it, do a Google search on these and make sure that their requirements and all that so and it's not just the big marketplaces, but the affiliates that's inside of these marketplaces, know what know what you want to promote and their requirements, you know, the companies and all of that, what's in that marketplace, and it's gonna make your life a whole lot easier.

Another blog and secret you probably didn't know, web traffic does not matter. Listen to that again, because there's a second part to that web traffic does not matter. Listen to the last part. Web traffic does not matter. If it does not convert. Web traffic does not matter if it doesn't convert. You can get Get all the traffic to a piece of content and your blog and all of that. But if it's not convert, if you're not converting though that traffic into what you need to do, whether it's email signups or whether it's touching, you know, whether it's money or what have you been, you are doing something egregious ly wrong.

That's the whole game, you need to make sure that's why I always talk about tapping into your analytics, because you want to know what converts and what doesn't convert, you know why something isn't converting want to prepare your blog, or blog content for that traffic. You know, that's why we're writing these articles. Because we want that traffic want that Google traffic or whatever traffic, but it has to convert, but it does not matter that traffic does not matter less than convert. So I can't stress that enough. I can't stress that enough. Alright, check this one out.

This is number four. The desire to share your expertise can change your life, the desire to share your expertise can change your life. We always talk about man, I don't know, I don't know what niche I want to go in, I want to start a blog. But I don't know what niche to go in, or things of that nature. So everybody crosses that that path, you know, we want a blog, but we don't know what we want to write about. You are an expert in something, you're good at something, maybe you've been doing a particular job, or you've been doing this hobby for a long time you know about it, the more more you put content out there, the more and more that you put that information out there, you are an expert, you, you'll become an expert in that particular field in that particular niche. So the desire to share that expertise, it really can change your life in a positive way, whether it's monetarily or just change your life making you feel good or changing, it'll change other people's lives. Also, that's the most important thing. But speaking of you, the blogger, it can change your life. So hone in on what you know, are what you're passionate about.

Alright, number five, the last blogging secret that you probably didn't know about blogging is the money is in the follow up, the money is in the follow up, you will likely or you should have some sort of email lists, you know, they always say the money is in the list, money is in the follow up. Especially if you're selling high ticket, a high ticket item, your money is in a follow up. If you have an email list of so many 1000 people and especially if your offer is good, you're going to do well you should do well. Your follow up emails, you should do well in your follow up emails as well not just follow up, let's say you have a program out.

And you know, you get initial sales or what have you maybe a webinar or whatnot. It's the long haul haul with that is how you sequence these emails, it's the follow up emails, it's not just that first email is all the other emails, you might have an email sequence I'm about, I don't know maybe about a whole month 28 emails, or even more emails than that just for the sake of this 28 emails. And it's not the first email that's gonna get you all your money.

It's those other emails that it's going to kind of push your particular audience to say, hey, you know, maybe I want to check this out even more, you know, cuz you may not get their attention the first time, you may not get their attention the second time, or the third time or the fourth time after they sign off have already signed up. So the money is in a follow up. Remember that they say like I said previously, they say the money is in the list. But I like to say the money is in the follow up. Remember that.
